Great web site! I took a look at your site, you have really changed things. It is really good. —HA 01/17/2003

ART GALLERY

While I understand that you, just as every other being is entitled to their own opinion, I am disgusted by some of the artwork you have displayed on your site. Children can't fully understand the concept of abortion, etc. As far as I can see, their views have been controlled by their parent or guardian since birth. I can't imagine how they could possibly have formed independent opinions on the subject any other way at such an age. I think its horrible that anyone would display such works by youngster who cannot possibly fathom the issue. —Rosu 05/23/2003, age 13
Response to Rosu

Thanks for the note and the picture. It was really provacative... It is amazing the things that children can comprehend and understand. I know they know and feel so much more than they are able to convey. Please tell Vivian that I liked her picture. —JOF 08/02/2002

The picture below really captures the horror of what this nation is allowing. What a tragedy.—SP 08/02/2001

Very good drawing! —IL 08/01/2002

Thank you!  I sent this to some of my family and friends!  It is the best anti-abortion/anti-infantcide message I've ever seen! —MJ 08/01/2002

HARRY POTTER

I was reading your page on how harry Potter isn't whatGod wants us to read, and I say, its very good.
Althought there was onething that did come out to me as not exactly Christian like... u stated.  "One was authored by one of the greatest, most respected Christian writers and thinkers of the twentieth century; the other was written by a former teacher, divorced and living on welfare. "  Do you think that God does not live in the hearts of those who have
struggled in life? By this sentences you're judging her by the life she lives! Does God not tell us to judge others?
"One is an allegory portraying many truths and lessons of the Bible without magic; the other is a full indoctrination into the ways of Wicca, Satanism and the occult."  I know many people who can translate Harry Potter as lessons found in the bible or as Witch and the Wardrobe from C.S. Lewis. Stories and parables can be written in all forms, it just depends on who it's going to. Do you think a person from America will understand a Chineese sports game? Wouldn't they better understand if they were shown a simularity between rules and goals?  "One attempts to inspire its readers with the values of the Christian faith and Christian moral character, the other leads its readers see witchcraft, magic and sorcery as harmless and easily within grasp."  See, its judging again. You are telling Us what and what is not Their will to achieve. If you want to state these things, you are better off quoting them. Until then you are judging and God does not ask us of that.  Thank for your time
  —CMM 05/14/2003

Also, which i forgot to add. Who gives you the right to tell people they will burn in hell for reading Harry Potter? Your Judging and acting as if you have the Place of God when you make that statement. Also To say that Harry Potter's desination is Hell is turningmay people away form your site who may like Harry Potter. It's not good business to insult those people who you are trying to spread the word to. My suggestion is, fixup the website nget ur facts straight from her mouth, not what you think of her.  "I made a very conscious decision right at the beginning that I was writing
about someone evil, and I wasn't going to tell a lie. I wasn't going to pretend that an evil person is a paper cutout and no one really gets hurt.  OK, if you're writing about evil, I think generally you have a responsibility to show what that means, and that's the way I'm writing them.  I think they're quite, well actually, I think they're very moral books,"
Rowlings told a television news program.  If writing these books are her parables for telling her views on life, religion or God,then thats her place. When was the last time an informtation book about Wicca was banned from the stores because young people could read it, or follow the practice?  Thanks again for your time.

What a tragedy your front page is advertising harry potter. —SW 11/06/2002
Response to SW

Thank you for your words of truth.  I appreciate you taking a straight shot at what I continue to hear is "no big deal".  I wouldn't let my children eat out of the garbage can, nor let them fill their minds with garbage. Please continue to send me your newsletter.  —RC 11/12/2001

Thanks for sending the info to me.  The info is important to all of us.  As grandparents we can inform and encourage.  —LF 11/04/2001

I would be delighted to receive any and all information that will help our children.  I work with high school age children, yes I said high school aged children and their parents.  Thank you for caring about our youth. —PBS 11/02/2001

I think your article is very enlightening and well backed up with Scripture.  My big question is the Grimm's Fairy Tales that I grew up with and all the witchcraft and sorcery in them, to speak nothing of the Disney versions of many of them which gave us pictures along with the words.  Nobody seems to speak up against them and I don't think they are very popular anymore, but there are so many terrible things for kids to see - cartoons, video games, movies - that I think are very damaging, too.  My grandkids (youngest is 13) have a good Christian background, although the 15 year old seems to be into "dark" things somewhat.  The older kids are strong in their faith and I thank God every day for them... My other concern is my pastor who I love dearly and who has been through many difficult times.  He has read the series, at least some of it, and thinks it's OK.  I've approached him a few times and he let me know in a nice way that he didn't want to hear about "Harry Potter" anymore.  Any suggestions??? —JP 11/02/2001

Thanks for exposing the dangers of reading and not taking seriously what is written in the Harry Potter books.  Our son, who is in the 3rd grade, has a teacher who is reading the books to his class.  We wrote to her and expressed our opposition to having our son listen to them and asked if he could be excused from the class.  She called us and gave us her opinions.  She said she "considered herself to be a Christian" which was the first warning flag that went up in my mind.  If someone asked me my religious beliefs, I would say a definite "I am a Christian", not, "I consider myself to be a Christian".  Anyway, she said that the books were purely fiction and she didn't emphasize anything spiritual in the book, but instead talked with them about truth verses fantasy.  She said it was no different than watching Disney movies, such as Beauty and the Beast.  She said she was purely using the books to analyze sentence structures and other educational purposes.  Well, we still weren't convinced and are standing firm on our conviction to not expose him to the occult implications in the books.  Most importantly, WE are responsible for his Spiritual upbringing and don't want to jeopardize anything that could sway him from the Truth! —JSO 11/01/2001

Since you do continue to beat on the anti-Harry Potter drum though I do wish to ask you one question:  Have you read the books yet?  You really should before continuing to accuse the author of the terrible things you are claiming. —DG 10/31/2001

I am passing your website on to everyone I can think of .... it is really Au(some)!!  Thanks for taking up the education of American parents on how their kids are being seduced.  You are truly an inspiration to all of us - GOD bless you! —TE 10/31/2001

I concur with you regarding "Harry Potter".  I have also had people disagree with my objection's to the HP series.   When you finish your essay on this topic, I'd be interested in reading it. —RE 10/26/2001

Thank you for your thoughtful reply.  I have enjoyed the [Harry Potter] books very much. They are very English, and as such pretty ordinary in their approached to things magical.  Many legends in many countries have magical elements.  For me the surroundings in the story are not near as important as the clarity with which the author draws the difference between good and evil things.  They are primarily about the encounters with these things that kids run into as they enter school and face peer pressure to do things that are cruel, or immoral, and the wondrous goodness that comes from not giving into those temptations.  Frank Perretti writes books with the same kind of power for kids as does Madeleine Le Engle, CS Lewis, Tolkein, likewise.  So I will be very interested in your next letter on the subject. —MH 09/05/2001

I congratulate you on taking this initiative. —JC 08/31/2001

PRAYER OF JABEZ

I looked at your Jabez flash. Very well done! Nice reminder for the holiday season. —RJ 12/26/2001

I hit your site the other day and I really like it!  I thought that the commentary on the Prayer of Jabez was great! —JB 12/21/2001

Very well done and very convicting. did you do the work on that movie yourself?... thought you really did a great job in your Jabez etc. presentation.Very well done, very professional. —TT 12/25/2001

We are very Blessed just living in this country.   It behooves us to strive even harder to work for our Lord.  The harder we work for Him, the more we are blessed.   I can see how the prayer of Jabez  could be improperly used for our own selfish purposes. Thanks for sharing this with me. —RE 12/24/2001

Thank you so much for that presentation. When the book was first introduced to me it was by my mother... she sent us a copy and said we should read it.   So i started to read it.  And as I got into it i thought to myself.... this is awful, this is abhorant.  what a selfish life the author is telling us to live... how can i ask for things when i have so much more than i need?  how can i ask for things when there are children starving, people dying?  I stopped and prayed at that moment that Pastor R's and othter people's eyes in our church would be open to the sin that is being presented as truth in this book.  This book shows us our vilest of sins: We have become lovers of self...  is there anything more despicable in God's eyes? This self love is not a new teaching in the church though...  I first noticed it when i was in highschool...  there was a pop christian song by Whiteheart called the 8th wonder.  It said "if there are seven wonders of this world, what would the 8th one be?  If I would just love myself the way that God loves me"  Followed by this song was a proclamation by one of the great evangelical leaders of our time - Dobson said, "the greatest commandment is this 'Love your neighbor as yourself' but you can't love your neighbor unless you love yourself so you have to learn to love yourself first..."  dear mr. dobson, what happened to taking up my cross daily?  Denying myself....   God's Word says that we do love ourselves.  Too much! Here are a couple of links that might interest you on the prayer..  They are book reviews: http://www.rapidnet.com/~jbeard/bdm/BookReviews/jabez.htm...
· 2 Timothy 3:1-3...But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good...
· Philippians 2:21...For they all seek after their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus.
· 1 Corinthians 10:24...Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor.

Thanks for the wonderful Flash movie. —GC 12/21/2001

That was a good word. —AL 12/21/2001

Good work!  As you might expect, I haven't been real impressed with the "Jabez prayer fad."  As you note, it borders too close to prosperity gospel...  I think you've done a great job with the Flash movie you built.  Good mixture of call to gratitude and challenge to see the plight of the masses without the Good News.  I'll pass it on! —JF 12/21/2001

ABORTION

While searching for billboard images on the Web I ran across your page showing the "freedom does not come without a price" image (http://immpact.net/files/004/demise.htm).  It would make a great billboard image.  Is it available in that format?  We have been renting a billboard near Boulder, Colorado and are looking for a new, compelling image.  This one would be great. Thanks,

Thanks to many of you who have been praying about Latvia's Parliament vote to legalize abortion. It was scheduled for Jan 24th, but the date for the vote was changed to THIS Thursday, Jan. 31st. Please keep praying. In Latvia, there are congregations and individuals gathering for prayer and fasting. Last week there was a prayer rally in St Jacob's Cathedral, the church near the Parliament Building. Believers plan to gather once again to pray this Thursday morning. One participant writes "Lets come to pray, worship and express God's standards to the government that we do NOT want the legalization of sin, the killing of innocent unborn children in Latvia. Let's pray for God's hand, for wisdom and discernment on how to vote upon all the Parliament members." Your prayers matter. Thanks for "standing in the gap" for this nation. —KT 01/29/2002

I know the Oregon Right to Life president.  I'll pass your message on to him.  That might give it acces to a significant mail list. —JC 01/22/2002

THANKS FOR THE MATERIAL. I SENT IT TO ALL MY CONTACTS AND HOPE THEY WILL ALSO DO THE SAME. CERTAINLY IS FOOD FOR THOUGHT.  GOOD LUCK AND OUR PRAYERS GO WITH YOU. —AD 01/22/2002

Wow! what a super message.  I spent some time with it and want to do more. I sent it to about 50 on my e-mail list.  You can be proud to have them on your team. —LF 01/21/2002

I just visited your web site and oh! was greatly moved by the abortion campaigns. Yes,our voices must be raised for the innocent ones as they too deserve to live. Keep up the good fight for the Kingdom's cause. —GC 01/21/2002

Very good. A little strong, but that is what is needed.  I really have trouble with churches that support abortion. —RE 01/21/2002

Hey, did you hear that President Bush has declared a "Dignity for Life Day" for 2002? "Flash" encouraged President Bush to sign an executive order banning abortion or at least push an amendment through Congress to give the unborn the same human rights as the born.  Looks like it's headed that way. Oh, did you hear that George "Killer" Tiller of Wichita KS slaughtered thirty two infants Saturday for free to celebrate Roe.v.Wade?  His spokesperson said, "This is something Jesus would approve of since thirty two women who could not afford an abortion got one today." George Tiller is on staff (I think is a deacon) at his cough, church.  He has the full acceptance of his pastor and of his congregation!  I think the Al Kida went after the wrong buildings on September 11th!  Tiller has singlehandedly murdered more babies than any other abortionist in America.  He even has a crematorium on site, just like Dachau. —MK 01/21/2002

what is the next step? I’ve protested abortion, both loudly and softly. God used my wife and I even just the last year in the lives of an unmarried couple, encouraging and supporting them as they followed through on their decision to keep their baby and get married... But what of this human embryo/stem cell research debate? How can we make a difference on that one? Any ideas? I would love to hear if you have any good ideas on how to take a stand against messing with unborn life in any form. Thanks! —JH 08/01/2001

Thank you for the thoughts and encouragement on the world in your last IMM publication. —DG 11/21/2001

THE FISH

Yours was a well-reasoned, well-thought-out response to some intelligent questions. We could do with more light and less heat on this issue. I hope you hear back from that student. Are you familiar with the "Reasons to Believe" organization (http://www.reasons.org/)? Dr Ross has some excellent materials available, although you would probably disagree with him on some of the timelines. —RB 09/06/2002

1) Do you believe that all of humanity descended from Noah's family?
If so, how do you account for the distinct races?
It would take much longer than ~ 4,000 years to adapt to their respective climates.
2) All science is ever refining itself.  No intelligent scholar would claim exhaustive knowledge or impeccable theories; science by definition, changes constantly to adapt to new information.  As we learn more we in retrospect blush at our relative ignorance.  This is the strength and beauty of science... Demonstrating an exception or flaw in a complex theory such as evolution does not warrant abandonment out of hand.  rather it calls for conscientious, humble modification. More importantly, demonstrating the imperfections of evolutionary theory all day long does nothing to support the biblical story of creation as contained in the book of Genesis (Even if a design theory was established.)
"Disproving" does nothing to "prove" the other - there is no either/ or imperative - no dichotomy.
Even conceding that evolutionary theory is bunk does nothing to establish your "alternative."
3) Please thoughtfully consider what you believe and what you know; learn to distinguish the two.
—TL 08/29/2002
Response to TL

I took a brief look at your website, and although I am glad for what you are doing, I would encourage you to do a little more careful research on your subjects. Some of the arguments you use are either somewhat out of date or easily dismissed by evolutionists because of their controversial nature. For example, the picture you use of Loch Ness monster is widely considered to be a fake. Evolutionists can also give many examples of "walking fish" such as the mudskipper, so you are in credibility danger there as well. I have an article on my web site by Preston Simpson ("Show me a walking fish and I'll talk) that I am considering pulling because it attracts a lot of people who give examples of that sort...  Answers in Genesis has a page that talks about arguments that you shouldn't use. I think I have a link to it in my webbed articles. There is a rich variety of solid arguments to choose from that evolutionists can't answer, and I would recommend using these instead of ones that are fairly easy to discredit. I hate to be the bearer of discouragement. On the contrary I am glad for the enthusiasm you are showing for the subject. —DS 02/19/2002
