Now look at a close-up of what the large sign in the middle says.

They want decency!

Throughout the mid-1980s, the threat of nuclear war was a major focus of public controversy. Anti-nuclear activists worked very hard to make their point that the global population was at risk, being threatened by the proliferation of massive nuclear arsenals and stockpiles in the USA and former USSR.

Notice the poignant wording in the sign as shown above.

A DISGRACE TO DECENCY, CIVILIZATION,
REASON AND LOGIC

-NO-
DECENT CIVILIZED HUMANS
DO NOT NUKE FELLOW HUMANS

-NO-
THE WORLD MUST RENOUNCE THIS MADNESS.
IT STARTS WITH YOU.

AS AN ACT OF SANITY, BAN NUCLEAR WEAPONS
OR HAVE A NICE DOOMSDAY

It is difficult to understand why many of the same activists pushing the government so hard to ban nuclear weapons were favorable towards abortion, a war on the human race that has claimed the lives of tens of millions in the USA and over a billion worldwide since 1973. Nuclear weapons, which did pose an imminent threat of war in those days, have thus far claimed the lives of those, numbering less than three hundred thousand, who perished in the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan during World War II.

From the 1950s through the 1980s, the mighty military machines of the USA and USSR so much equipped their nuclear and offensive capabilities to counter each other's potential offenses, that mutual destruction of both countries was guaranteed in the event of war. This threat of mutual annihilation, which would have poisoned the atmosphere and affected all life on earth, dissuaded either nation from initiating any offensive, although there were close calls and false alerts. Any thought to promote the advancement and proliferation of nuclear warfare was considered madness, illogical and indecent in the minds of many people.

In contrast, babies in the womb have absolutely no defense against the ill choices and actions of their parents (and grandparents, spouses, partners, lovers, friends and co-workers of their parents). They are helpless victims when the decision for abortion is made, preventing them from reaching full term. We have rights for battered women, abused children, criminals, whales and pets. But babies in the womb have no law-ordained rights. Should we consider that decent?

At the close of World War II, the dropping of two atomic bombs on two Japanese cities signaled a wake-up call to the world which said, "These nuclear weapons are lethal and dangerous to the whole human population." In truth, we had to wonder if nuclear war was decent.

On September 11, 2001, God issued a 911 wake-up call to the United States of America, an attack on the two greatest symbols of its financial and military prowess, the twin towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, in order to remind all of us that our choice to have "choice" is begging for war with the Almighty. If we continue to pronounce unlimited abortion on demand and partial birth abortion as "decent", "civilized", "reasonable" or "logical" to ourselves, to our children and to the rest of the world, then we have seen only the beginning of the Almighty's hand of judgment lowered on the nation that made it legal in 1973. We have to wonder if our choice to have "choice" is decent, civilized, reasonable and logical. Truly, this is a disgrace. This is insane.

Perhaps we need to learn a lesson from the zeal and thoughtfulness of the anti-nuclear activists of the 1980s and reconsider what is truly decent, civilized, reasonable and logical. Instead of nuclear arms as the focus, let's remember the millions who have perished through abortion, in the hopes that a future generation might one day be realized which knew no such threat on its posterity as our generation does today.

A DISGRACE TO DECENCY, CIVILIZATION,
REASON AND LOGIC

-NO-
DECENT CIVILIZED HUMANS
DO NOT ABORT OR EUTHANIZE FELLOW HUMANS

-NO-
THE WORLD MUST RENOUNCE THIS MADNESS.
IT STARTS WITH YOU.

AS AN ACT OF DECENCY, REPENT FROM ABORTION NOW
OR GOOD LUCK ON JUDGMENT DAY

May we all soon realize the truth of these words and act accordingly.
