Pre-Human Ancestry?
This is worse than the Gold Rush.
Everyone is desperate for fame and acclaim.
Or coverage in National Geographic.
Or at least five minutes on the Discovery Channel.

So just how many fossil hoaxes have we had to endure since Darwin’s publication in 1859? Here we present only some of the most well known examples, ones which most people would have undoubtedly heard about in school. The actual list of known or currently contested hoaxes is much longer (see web links below).

Neanderthal Man
Known as a cave-dwelling, ape-like creature with arms hanging low, Neanderthal Man is fully human. Even some evolutionists believe that characteristics of Neanderthals indicate old age, not a pre-human transitional form. Unfortunately, millions of people have grown up with the notion that the evolutionists were really onto something. This was aided by the fact that many Neanderthal specimens had been intentionally reconstructed to make them look other than human.

Cro-Magnon Man
Like the Neanderthals, this was another fossil jackpot in Europe, except these people showed a penchant for art, judging from drawings they made inside their cave dwellings. The features of Cro-Magnon skulls show virtually no characteristics that markedly set them apart from humans. Many evolutionists do not know what to make of them. Can we just concede they are in fact humans and move on?

Piltdown Man
This was a deliberate hoax in England, enacted by one or more evolutionists (including Jesuit priest Teilhard de Chardin) in which a human skull was combined with the jaw of an ape and hallmarked in museums for decades in the early 1900s. With such a deliberate phony as this one, why didn't society catch on sooner to the desperation that exists to prove a pre-human ancestry? Inspite of this hallmark scam, people keep searching and searching, in vain.

Lucy
This fossil alone is perhaps the best known "proof of pre-human ancestry" and the most widely touted among the general public. Nevertheless, many scientists concede this small frame was possibly a member of the chimpanzee family; some claim that Lucy's species may still be alive today. One controversy surrounding Lucy is whether she was bipedal or walked on all fours. Either way, there is no forceful argument to indicate Lucy was a pre-human ancestor, it is simply postulated she was a human forerunner by those who believe she was. Of interest, Lucy's discoverer, Dr. Donald Johanson, seems to have had some motivation and pressure to come up with a missing link or else lose his funding.

A hundred years from now, are all the "proofs" and missing links that evolutionists cling to today going to end up in this gallery as well? At the rate we've been going, it seems the answer will probably be "yes". Quit monkeying with the evidence!
